Frequently asked questions.

My wedding has already passed but would like a painting, what can I do?

I would love to paint your wedding even if it’s already passed! Fill out the inquiry on my commissions link, and I will be in touch with you shortly to give a quote.

Are you able to do non-wedding related paintings?

Yes! I can pretty much paint anything from a photograph. Fill out the inquiry on my commissions link, and I will be in touch with you shortly to give a quote.

Do I need to supply anything for you?

Besides the vendor meal, I provide everything I need. The light I use is a rechargeable one so an outlet is not 100% required. I just need a small space to set up and all is done!

Does it bother you if guests talk/approach you?

Not at all! I encourage it. The guests usually check in for progress, take pictures, ask questions, etc. This experience is not only a positive one for you, but an entertaining one for your guests!

When will you arrive?

I will be arriving 1 1/2-2hours before your event starts! This is my time to set up, and paint in majority of the background. For the main event, I take some photos of the moment you wish for me to capture and I work from that the rest of the wedding!

When will I receive my painting?

You will receive your painting 6-8 weeks from your wedding! I take your painting back to my studio to give it the care properly needed before I ship it back to you! I want to ensure you are receiving a painting that you will cherish forever!

What kind of paint do you use?

I use oil paints! This allows me to work with the paint longer as it dries slowly. However, since it dries slowly, this is why I take your painting back to my studio to allow for proper care, dry time, and varnishing (a protective layer that helps keep your new painting shielded from dirt and dust, but also makes the colors more vivid). This is also the reason why it will take a 6-8 weeks from taking it back to my studio for you to receive it. I can’t ship a wet oil painting!

What style do you paint in?

I paint more on the realistic side and love painting nature as well as people. One of my favorite parts of painting is color; I love using color to show emotion and details, which I use to capture the essence of your wedding. Your painting will be a very colorful, vibrant painting!

Can you travel?

Yes! I’m located in Southern California and am willing to travel if need be; traveling expenses would be added to the final cost.

Why choose to have a live painting of my wedding?

This is something you can cherish for a lifetime! Not only the entertainment for your guests but something that photograph’s can’t capture! Photo’s will go in a photo book that’s pulled out every so often, where a painting will sit up on your walls to be seen every day! You’ll be able to look at something every day, that was custom made for you, on your wedding day.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes I do! If you have booked me as your live wedding painter and a venue needs a copy, let me know and I can provide you with one.
